Goal: To create a logo for the Verde Plants and Florals shop.
This was the first concept. I wanted the logo to have a southwestern feel. I went with an aloe plant for the design but added a flower for both parts of the shop.
I chose fonts that were elegant and wispy. I wanted it to feel upscale but relaxed. Monotype Corsiva also compliments the shape of the aloe plant.
I wanted a bright but muted color palette. I chose lighter colors for the main shapes, and chose to outline them in a slightly darker shade to help the leaves stand out.
I refined the final logo to soften up the leaf edges and added a pot to make it feel more grounded. I removed the flower for balance and the rectangle for simplicity.
